Get ready for spring, Easter,…and Christmas

Even though the calendar still says February and the mild weather hasn’t really grabbed a hold on Denmark yet, I cannot help thinking of spring! The season where we all hang up our winter coats, invite the light inside, and start spending more time outside. Suddenly, we all feel like going for walks (or maybe a walk and talk during a conference) – and seeing the colors of nature fills us with energy. Nature sure is a great source of inspiration!

And maybe you get a sudden urge to clean out the attic or shed to make room for new things in your life – and for new thoughts and plans. The new found light in life will come to good use when you spend your spring season making plans for a summer celebration or a Christmas party (yes, I know, spring has just arrived, but it IS time to think about the Christmas party already).

With spring comes Easter, and with Easter comes chocolate. And then I’m in! And so are most other people.

Even if we usually think of chocolate Easter eggs and egg rolls as a candy and game for kids, it is definitely possible to make a treasure hunt for Easter eggs for grown-ups too. It would be a welcomed break in an otherwise heavy conference schedule and a chance to get outside, see the sun (hopefully), and add a little exercise to a meeting day. It would also make a wonderful networking exercise – nothing brings people together like getting a chance to connecting with your inner child.

Now you might get the shivers and have nauseating memories of the kind of cheap chocolate you got in your Easter egg when you were a child. But today that is not a problem. During the last decade or so, chocolate has become BIG, and today you can get really high quality chocolate that suits the grownup palate. This will surely make your event memorable. By the way, who says that the eggs should be made of chocolate? How about a surprise egg instead?

Have you thought of an Easter theme for your next event?
